How FCPA works

We recognise that there is constant vulnerability in cinemas – there are around 10,000 film performances to the public in the UK alone every day.

Experienced resources

FCPA has a dedicated team of specialist staff who brief and train cinema operators around the UK. Our team is backed by an experienced investigative capability which examines all reported incidents, liaises with local law enforcement officers and considers prosecutions as and when appropriate.

Tech deployment

We furnish UK cinemas with night vision devices to assist members of staff with their checks, and we send email alerts to highlight film releases considered particularly vulnerable at particular times.

Rewards scheme

We incentivise heightened vigilance by cinema staff, aiming to deter and disrupt attempts to record film content illegally during the cinema performance.

Better connected

We liaise frequently with our partner organisations, including the Motion Picture Association and City of London Police.
